Photoshop CS6: Reinstalling error

I have a MAC running on OS X 10.10.5.  I encountered a problem with starting Photoshop CS6 after several system OS upgrades.  I tried to un-install the software so that I could re-install it.  I ran into problems with the un-install and decided to do it manually with help from various forums.  Now, I cannot re-install the software.  It stops mid-way through the initialization process.  I downloaded there Adobe Cleaner Tool and ran that and still get the error; "Installer Failed to Initialize".  What now???

I did all of this, including downloading a new version of Photoshop CS6. t stops at the same point as my installation disks, about 1/3 the way through the initialization process.

    Cheers,

    Sorry to hear that.

Did you installed performed the steps I mentioned in that link , like Renaming OOBE folder.

Then trashing Adobe Application Manager folder if present under Utilities.

Then downloaded and installed Adobe application manager and updated the same and tried reinstalling Photoshop CS 6?
