Question

Photoshop does not start and even can not install...

I have problem to open Photoshop today. It says Photoshop is locked in Windows. But there is no such thing. I uninstalled Photoshop, but can not install again. I have issues with Adobe InDesign all the time, but this is new to me. Adobe is going fast bye-bye! It is getting useless, it is buggy and not reliable at all.

Sounds like you might not have enough computing power to install Creative Cloud apps.

Make sure your computer exceeds the minimum CPU & GPU requirements. Most Creative Cloud apps work on these systems, no more than 2 versions back:

  • Windows 11 (64-bit) versions 24H2, 23H2; Windows 10 versions 22H2, 21H2;
  • MacOS 15 (Sequoia), 14.7 (Sonoma), 13.6.7 (Ventura).

Likewise, you'll need plenty of empty hard disk space and RAM to have a good user experience.

I am using this notebook for 2 years with the same hardware without changes. Lately I am getting messages about my Nvidia graphic card not compatible when starting Photoshop. Yesterday I did not manage to install any of v. 26 versions, but I got Photoshop Beta v. 27 with ease and I am using it right now – same computer, same hardware. Problems came with no visible reason.

update your nvidia driver to the current "studio" (not gamer) version.

Yes, I am trying to install PS via CC App. I managed to install PS Beta. This helped to save the day, but many times I tryed to install classic PS and it always stops at 87% of the process, saying Installation unsuccesful after each try. Now I am on PS Beta (27 version). And everything seems to be working, just I lost all my actions...
