photoshop download problems. please help!!

I've recently purchased photoshop elements 14 student edition for my son from Currys superstore. i am now really confused with the download process. i've scratched the panel on the back of the card for the code but everything i go on is asking for an alphanumerical code when i try to redeem it. please help
