photoshop elements 14 installation

I have purchased Photoshop elements 14. It has a serial number (24 characters) on the disc sleeve. When I try to install it asks for a 6 character serial number and I can't get further.

Where is the 6 character code which will allow me to progress. Is it bound up with the redemption code? - but why do I need that if I have the serial number?

Thank you for your message - I finally figured out what to do - The six boxes on the installation page requesting the serial number should each contain 4 characters of the serial number. I was assuming that each box contained one character. Once I realised, it installed with no problem. As a non-expert I found the installation page unclear and a littel extra information would help.
