Photoshop Elements 4 for Mac

Question

Years ago I bought Photoshop Elements 4 for Mac, then didn't have a Mac for some time until now. My licence for Photoshop Elements is still showing on my Adobe account. I downloaded v12 but the code doesn't work. Perhaps not surprising, but what are my best/cheapest options to upgrade to v12?

If you go to the Photoshop Elements product page (Picture editor, edit pictures | Adobe Photoshop Elements 12) and select the Buy option, you can choose Upgrade instead of Full to get the upgrade discount. UNlike most other Adobe products, Elements supports upgrades for all version back to version 1.
