My laptop crashed with my adobe photoshop elements 7, so I now have a new laptop without a cd drive so I downloaded a copy from adobe. It will not accept my serial number from the back of my case. Help please!

You should always provide computer details when asking a question... two ideas... one for Mac, one for Windows

Install CS5 on Mac 10.11 https://forums.adobe.com/thread/2003455 may help

First, that software is old enough that it may not work at all with Windows 10... but
