photoshop elements 8.0 serial number.

a few years ago my father bought a pc (xp) incl. photoshop elements 8.0. there was a cd with a serial number at it.

yesterday i installed his new pc (win 7 64 bit) and downloaded photoshop elements 8.0 from www.adobe.com.

it is not possible to activate the product with the above mentioned serial number. there is always the information about

a wrong serial number. what can i do?
