Photoshop fails to open

I have just installed CS2 as I had to uninstall my old (legal) version because of lack of support . Everything went smoothly until I attempted to load PS at which point I got the message "Your Adobe PS user name/ organization or serial number is missing or invalid. The application cannot continue & must now exit" I run Mac OS 10.6.8. on a macbook Any ideas?

Thanks for that but while i was hanging about I totally cleared out all traces of previous CS2 stuff (including some very sticky Version Cue stuff and a couple of restarts) and re-installed and it seems to be working fine. One thing I didn't mention was that I turned up something called Space Monkey, which is apparently a proto version of PS hidden inside that is activated if you're trying to double up- don't know if this info will be of any use to other idiots like me attempting to reload CS2?

Adobe has disabled the activation server for CS2 products, including Acrobat 7, because of a technical issue.

Please refer the following CS2 download & serial number as part of download.

The serial numbers provided as a part of the download may only be used by customers who legitimately purchased CS2 or Acrobat 7 and need to maintain their current use of these products.
