Photoshop free trial expired after 1 day

I downloaded the free trial version of Photoshop CC two days ago- last night it said there were still 7 days left. I shut down my computer last night, and when I reopened it this morning it said my trial had expired. I'm not sure what to do.. Any advice?

Hi Elizabeth, sorry to hear that. This does happen sometimes; one of these reasons may help explain it:

Understand why Adobe trial software expires or ends early

If you happen to have another computer you can install the software on, then that should give you a fresh trial period.

Hope that helps!

This is so irritating. I just had the same thing happen to me, and this answer, while surely helpful for many situations, is entirely non-helpful for mine. I downloaded a trial of Illustrator on Saturday, and used it on Saturday. I tried to open it again today, Monday (that's two days later), and it now tells me that my trial has expired. None of the causes in that article apply to my situation. There is no question about when it was downloaded and installed. What is particularly frustrating is that this forum is the only support option available to me as Illustrator is not in my paid plan. Brilliant.

I abhor Creative Cloud licensing (I have spent many thousands on Adobe products since 1996; I used to own Illustrator, but that has been stripped from me under this new business model (without support for previous versions under modern operating systems). I am increasingly hating Adobe as a direct result, and wanting any and all competitors to succeed brilliantly and strip market share from Adobe on a daily basis.

I needed Illustrator for ONE project this week, and don't anticipate needing it again for months. I realized that the trial period would be sufficient for this project. The trial expired after two days and now I am left high and dry, forced to either abandon the work I've already done or pay a ridiculous sum for a very brief period of use. The CC model may work great for full-time creative professionals who use many applications on a daily basis and benefit from the always-up-to-date feature, but for those of us who use the software (except the Photography plan products, in my case) only occasionally and would be fine with the set of features we had several years ago, it is a slap in the face after literally decades of loyal use and purchasing.

Hi, thanks for sharing your thoughts. Sorry if your trial expired early and it's unknown as to why. A couple things.

Not sure if the one project this week is personal or paid, but technically Adobe's free trial versions are not for commercial use. Just a FYI.

You also mentioned you need Illustrator now, but then not again for months... Were you aware of (and have you considered) a month-to-month plan? These are available for almost any CC app (including Illustrator), and allow you to pay for the tool only in the months that you use it.

Creative Cloud pricing and membership plans | Adobe Creative Cloud

So for example, if you need Illustrator CC now but then not again for six months, you could pay for just those two months rather than the whole period.
