So i let my adult daughter use my macbook for her photography needs. She was annoyed by using launcher to get to PS and tried to move the shortcut to the desktop Windows style. (She has no Mac experience) So now the system does not see PS and needs it reinstalled. On top of that, the creative cloud app is outdated and I cannot fix it. i am already on a paid account, but the update page wants me to set up a new account? Really need PS back. Any help is appreciated. (No time machine. I tried. hard lesson there)

Just removing the shortcut from the Dock won't unistall photoshop.

    Look in

Applications for the Adobe Photoshop folder and inside should be a Adobe Photoshop.app you can double click on to start photoshop.

Then once it's running right click on the PS icon, go to Options and click Keep in Dock.

Remove everything and start fresh https://helpx.adobe.com/creative-cloud/kb/cc-cleaner-tool-installation-problems.html

Cloud Manager to install all programs https://www.adobe.com/ie/creativecloud/desktop-app.html

Keep your daughter away from your Mac

so where is ps?  if it's uninstalled, no problem.  just reinstall it.

but did she fail to create a shortcut/alias and she actually moved the executable?  if so, you should move it back.
