Photoshop install stuck at 86%

Photoshop failed to update to the latest CC version (osx) and then subsequently failed to open, so I uninstalled it.

When I tried to reinstall it, it freezes at 86% – every. single. time.

I've removed all the Cloud apps & uninstalled and reinstalled Creative Cloud. Every other app installs apart from Photoshop.

Any help very much appreciated.

uninstall everything cc including preferences, https://helpx.adobe.com/creative-cloud/help/uninstall-remove-app.html

then uninstall the cc desktop app, https://helpx.adobe.com/creative-cloud/help/uninstall-creative-cloud-desktop-app.html

clean your computer of cc files per http://www.adobe.com/support/contact/cscleanertool.html

restart your computer (don't skip this)

reinstall the cc desktop app, https://creative.adobe.com/products/creative-cloud.

if you're unable to install the cc desktop app at this stage, use an administrator account (solution 4 here, https://helpx.adobe.com/creative-cloud/kb/creative-cloud-missing-damaged.html)

use the desktop app to install your cc programs/trials

Thanks for the advice but it hasn't worked. It went well right up until trying to run the Cleaner – that doesn't even open and I end up with an 'Application Not Responding' message so i force quit.

I'm at a loss, the only thing I can think to do is to format the HD and reinstall the os. Far from ideal though.
