Photoshop installer not opening on Mac OS Monterey 2.1 on my MacBook Pro M1 Max

Just downloaded the Creative Cloud trial for Photoshop.

Double-clicked on the .dmg file.

Window opens to allow access to files. I click yes.

Nothing happens after that point.

What is going on?

And yes, I've trashed and re-started.

Nothing.

Help!

    Renald, can you confirm whether you are opening Photoshop or the mounted DMG file when you are being asked to allow access to files?  What is the exact text of the error you are receiving?
