Photoshop License not linked to Adobe account

I purchased Photoshop online quite a few years ago.  I have a new computer and would like to transfer the software to this new computer.  I have installed, but when I sign in to my Adobe Account for the license to be validated, it says that there is no license registered to my account.  I have checked to see if I mistakenly made an account under one of my other email addresses to no avail.  I still have access to the serial number as I have my old computer.

Is there a way to solve this please?

Many thanks in advance

Sorry for the delay in response. Please try downloading the software from the following link and see if that works: Download Adobe Creative Suite 6 applications.

Hi,

That didn't work as it seems I also need Akamai Download Manager in order to complete the install, and the only way to get this seems to be to buy it.  I tried several times with no luck.  In the end I managed to get the files off my old computer and then install using the serial number off my Adobe profile.  So far so good.

Thanks anyway

Hi JLSD,

As you have mentioned you are unable to activate your Adobe Photoshop license that you purchased a few years ago, I have reviewed the Adobe ID (email address) you have utilized to post here and found that there is a Photoshop CS6 student version license registered to your account.

Please use the download files present in your account to install this product, as it is an education version license there is a specific download link provided to you, you can find that in your account by following the steps listed here: Find downloaded apps and files.

Once you have the product installed from the right setup use your serial number to activate it, you can find your serial number in your account as well, see: Find your serial number.

Let us know if this helps.

Thanks so much, for replying so fast!  However, I don't seem to have any download links (screen shot below) for Photoshop under order history when I follow the instructions you provided.  Maybe I am just being blind?  Or do I need to deactivate the version on my old PC first?
