Photoshop/Lightroom CC question

I'm thinking about getting the Photoshop/Lightroom 9.99 package, but I already own and have installed a current copy of Lightroom 5. Could this result in any problems when I download the cc version of Photoshop/Lightroom. If so, what should I do to avoid problems?

Hi wilso1907,

If you already have a Lightroom subscription then what you need to do is launch Lightroom and it should ask for update to 5.2 automatically. In case you do not see any auto prompt the launch Lightroom/go to help at the top right and check for updates. It should show you 5.2 updates.

I don't have a Lightroom subscription, I actually own a hard copy version of Lightroom 5.2.

I am wondering what to do if I buy the subscription that includes both Photoshop and Lighroom.

Do I remove the software version of Lighroom, or do I allow both the CC version and the software version to exist in my applications folder at the same time?

Thanks.

Hi wilso1907,

If you have a hard copy of Lightroom then uninstall Lightroom from your machine and install again from CC desktop.

Link to install Lightroom as a part of CC: https://creative.adobe.com/products/lightroom .
