Question

Photoshop stoped installing after 87%

First I had a couple of apps installed and it worked. But when I wanted to update an app like Photoshop it stoped updating. Also with other apps.

I got the error code 1001.

So I deinstalled Creative Cloud with the Uninstaller. But that didn't help. Next, I deinstalled all apps and than Creative Cloud again. When I tried to install Photoshop again, it stoped at 87%. I tried it several times and it stoped always at 87%.

To my system: I've got macOS 10.13.3

Can someone help me, please?

uninstall everything cc including preferences, https://helpx.adobe.com/creative-cloud/help/uninstall-remove-app.html

then uninstall the cc desktop app, https://helpx.adobe.com/creative-cloud/help/uninstall-creative-cloud-desktop-app.html

clean your computer of cc files per http://www.adobe.com/support/contact/cscleanertool.html

restart your computer (don't skip this)

reinstall the cc desktop app, https://creative.adobe.com/products/creative-cloud.

if you're unable to install the cc desktop app at this stage, use an administrator account (solution 3 here, https://helpx.adobe.com/creative-cloud/kb/creative-cloud-missing-damaged.html)

use the desktop app to install your cc programs/trials

Thank you very much for your reply.

Unfortunately, I couldn't perform all of your options. I uninstalled everything with the Creative Cloud desktop app. There was no installed app left.

In Utility -> Adobe Installers there was still "Adobe Photoshop CC 2017 deinstall". When I clicked on it, it just said "in preparation", but nothing happened for hours.

Than I uninstalled the cc desktop app, successfully. "Adobe Photoshop CC 2017 deinstall" is still there, though.

I tried to cleaned my computer of cc files per http://www.adobe.com/support/contact/cscleanertool.html  but that didn't work. When I started cleaning everything the programme just crushed and didn't react anymore.

What should I do?

see if you can use time-machine to reset your computer to a time before any adobe apps were on your computer and then install onto a clean computer.
