Premiere Elements 2020 activation issue after reinstalling on a new Windows PC
I own a legitimately purchased license for Adobe Premiere Elements 2020 for Windows and still have the original serial number.
I recently installed Premiere Elements 2020 on a new PC. The application installs and runs normally, but only in the 30-day trial mode. When I try to activate it using my original serial number, I receive an error stating that the serial number is blocked or too old.
I also tried the Adobe Provisioning Toolkit (APTEE) using the documented LEID:
V7{}PremiereElements-2020-Win-GM
The operation consistently returns Return Code 14.
The amt3.log contains, among others, these messages:
RetrieveInfoForLEID: PPDL entry not found in SLCache
App has requested features but there are no licensed features, hence no license.
Licensing has been refused. Application must exit.
I also have a complete file copy of the old system drive from the previous PC. It contains the original Adobe licensing data, including:
Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Adobe\SLCache\SLConfigs\V7{}PremiereElements-2020-Win-GM\SLConfig.xml
and the corresponding Premiere Elements 2020 files under:
ProgramData\Adobe\PremiereElements\18.0
The old PC originally ran Windows 10 and was later upgraded to Windows 11. The current PC runs Windows 11 25H2.
I would like to continue using the license I already purchased, rather than purchase the product again.
Could you please advise how I can reactivate my existing Premiere Elements 2020 license on the new PC, or provide an officially supported installer/activation procedure that works with my existing serial number?
