Premiere Elements and editing photographs

I have just purchased and downloaded premier elements 15, not being computer savy... I need help.  I can open and see what you do for videos but I want to use it for photographs. when I click on the edit button it asks me to insert cd or purchase?????

    Thanks for this, I feel real stupid.  I did indeed purchase the software for video  in error, it was not until I installed and could not edit photographs......  I have managed to get sorted out and I thanks for your reply and time.

    Did you purchase the Photoshop Elements + Premier Elements bundle?

    As John said, Premier is for editing video.  Photoshop is for editing images.

    Did you intend to purchase Photoshop Elements - which is for editing photographs?

    Premiere Elements is for editing videos.

    Thanks for your reply.  You are correct, I didn't realise the error I made but hopefully have it sorted now.  Thanks for pointing this out for me.

    If you have not yet entered the serial number for the product then there should be an option for doing so when the program starts.

    I have managed to sort this out.  I purchased the wrong software and didn't realise what I had done.  Thanks for your time.
