Preparing for CS6 installation
I just bought CS6 Production Premium.
I already have CS3 Master Collection, CS5 Production Premium and Flash CS5.5 installed on my MacPro and my Macbook pro laptop.
I want to uninstall most of the CS3 and CS5 programs and keep just a few that I need older versions of for compatibility with what I have to use at work.
I don't want to lose any important functionality with the older versions that I leave behind, so I am not sure whether to also uninstall older versions of Bridge or Extension Manager or Device Central, etc., or if the latest CS6 versions of Bridge and Extension Manager, etc., are able to work with the older version programs.
Also, what would be the best way to remove the programs? Use the Adobe installer disks to remove programs (?) or remove programs the way we normally do for Macs?
What about large libraries installed with the older versions?
I want to save as much disk space as possible, especially on the laptop.
What about activation? As long as I keep even one program installed from a suite, I need it to be activated, and I am not planning to install individual suite programs on some other computer, so I don't think that I need to deactivate my software before uninstalling parts of the suite.
I would appreciate any advice on this. Thanks.
