Previous Elements Version.

Hi, I have just upgraded Elements 14 to version 2018 and performed the installation. Usually, when performing most other application upgrades, the earlier version of a particular program has been removed automatically during installation. However, I now have both  versions of elements on my computer. Should I uninstall version 14 or is some of it's program required for the new version?
