I downloaded CS6, but my laptop computer could not open or read the .7z file.  I tried downloading 7 Zip and the CS6 uploaded into the 7 Zip, but I could not find it anywhere on my laptop computer after I extracted the CS6 file with the 7 Zip.

You need to download both the .exe file and the .7z file to the same folder on your hard drive. You then double click the .exe file and it will do the rest.

    See http://prodesigntools.com/adobe-cs6-direct-download-links.html

"For Windows, each program consists of up to two files, an .exe and a 7-Zip file (.7z). The .exe file will only work when the .7z file is also fully downloaded and resides in the same location."
