Hi,

I am having much bother installing Illustrator CS5 on a brand new Dell Inspiron desktop. The download from Adobe comes as two files. One a .exe and one a 7Z. Could anyone walk me through it? I have followed the steps from Adobe but can't seem to run the .exe.

Thanks,

Lawrie

Hi lozdesign7, Based on your screenshot your download of the .exe did not finish yet. The size indicates 0KB! So please re-download the .exe, wait the download to be finished and when downloaded completely double click to execute. If you have a virusscanner check if it prevents the download and keeps it at 0 KB. You can disable it for a moment and complete the download.

You download both the .7z and the .exe to the same folder on your hard drive then double click the .exe.

What happens when you try running the .exe?

Hi John,

Thanks for getting back to me. I followed the instructions listed on the Adobe website which are just as you are describing them also. Both files are by default sitting in the downloads folder... (actually only one appears there because the exe keeps disappearing) see image for the pop up I keep getting...
