I downloaded Adobe Lightroom 4 today on my Mac OS X Version 10.5.8. I have plenty of memory on my mac, however whenever I go to install it from the Lightroom package it says exacty this:

"Operation could not be completed. (com.apple.installer.pagecontroller error -1.)"

Whats the problem?

You are getting this error message because your computer doesn't meet the minimum system requirement.

Check the link for tech specs :- http://www.adobe.com/products/photoshop-lightroom/tech-specs.html

You need 10.6 or later

I found that out. So, I can purchase Mac OS X Snow Leopard and update my

current MacBook with it right? Would that erase all of my applications,

photos, music etc?

Thank you,

Laura

No, but of course some things may no longer work - other apps may also not be compatible. and by all means do a backup. USB sticks and removable harrdrives are dirt cheap - a defective computer or disk can alweays be replaced, a lost digital camer photo cannot.
