Problem upgrading CS4 to CC

I am currently running CS4 on my PC.  I recently bought an iMAC and would like to upgrade my CS4 to CC.  Because I have a a version newer than CS3 I should qualify for a discount however when I enter my serial number on upgrading, I'm told I don't qualify for this discount!  Can anyone explain why?

Perhaps you bought your CS4 under some special promotion already or it's an S&T version or something like that. Contact sales support by phone or web chat. they can tell you what's going on...
