problem with program

Hi, I wonder if anyone could help me. In January I bought a new laptop and used it for a month with Lr & Ps without any problem at all. After a month I started having problems with the laptop both on Lr & Ps & everything in general. Finally after 7 months the company I bought the laptop have replaced it as after 3 tries they couldn't

manage to fix it. I am very happy with the new laptop but I haven't yet downloaded Lr & Ps. I am a lady of a certain age who does not know too much about the workings of laptops and programs, I am just happy learning how to use them, today someone said that the problems could have been down to a faulty programs, I am quite sure that the company said that they had checked for a problem with the programs and found none but I just wondered if it is possible before I download the programs, I am very sorry if this seems a very simple question but I would be grateful if someone could help me with this matter. Thank you

in advance.

What all those guys are trying to tell you: as long as you are apt to ask questions, you arn‘t too old to use the programs.

However some rules need to be followed up: if Adobe people contact you, make sure that they have a STAFF badge ( where I and others have that fancy ACP or MVP badge) and that they have and Adobe logo besides their name.

People called „Adobe John“ or „Adobe James“ or similar are imposters and do not work for Adobe and they will only try to get your money.

Ask your questions here and we will try to answer them. If we need Adobe help, we will call them. It is, however, great if someone with decent computer knowledge can help you, if our instructions seam to complicated.

If in doubt, the computer company seems to me to be quite serious, if they did their analyses and replaced the computer and did not try to push away responsibility. They are for sure open for advice. I would even pay them for...

Lightroom and Photoshop are working on a wide range of computers and as there are problems with those programs, they are not causing a computer to fault so that it needs to be replaced. Feel free to reinstall the programs and do what ever you need to do.

Good luck. And as said, people here are open to help. But please note that the moe precise your information is that you can give us, the more precise the answers will be.

Especially the info https://forums.adobe.com/people/Axel%20Matt asked for are very important when posting for a problem.

Hi

If you have problems again, please tell us what they are when they happen and we might be able to assist then. Right now we don’t have any idea what the problems might have been, only that it affected “everything in general”. Also, be sure you have virus and malware protection installed.

That reminds me of an old joke.

A nun walks into a doctor's office and says, "Doctor, I need a clinical diagnosis but because of my very strict religious faith, you can't look at me, you can't touch me and you can't ask me to submit to any tests."

The doctor pauses for a moment and says, "OK, you're crazy.  That will be $500 please."

There is no way for anyone here to tell you if you had a program or a laptop problem

If the laptop company said it was a problem with the laptop... believe them
