Problème activation licence Photoshop Element 2024 second pc

Bonjour,

@Niche-Starscout , sorry that you are receiving the error that you have exceeded the amount of allowable activations. Please follow the advice offered under the section, "I received the error, "Activation limit reached," but I am sure I still have activations remaining. How can I correct any software errors and allow the computer to contact Adobe servers?," as it applies to your situation. I reviewed the copy of Photoshop Elements registered under your account, and an activation remains. Running the CC Cleaner Tool should allow the current computer to continue to use the existing activation.

Please review and bookmark the information at https://community.adobe.com/t5/download-install-discussions/activation-limit-reached-for-non-subscription-adobe-desktop-applications/td-p/14804413 @Niche-Starscout for details on how to preserve and manage the activations included with your purchase.

@Jeffrey_A_Wright, thanks for the prompt reply.  But I am still a little unclear about when the offline activation will work.  The link I posted and some of the others linked by you refer to legacy versions.  Here we have a user with a current version of the program who has lost the ability to deactivate one of his eligible computers.  Do the Help files need to be changed?

You are welcome, @Greg_S.! Thanks for continuing to tag me; I will respond when I can.

The original poster hasn't lost anything; it looks like the licensing and activation data have been damaged, preventing them from contacting our servers to detect any remaining activations. Once they use the CC Cleaner tool, the damaged data will be removed, allowing the software to activate. If the software is still installed on the same computer and no major hardware changes have been implemented, it will use the existing activation.

This is the scenario I tried to cover in https://community.adobe.com/t5/download-install-discussions/activation-limit-reached-for-non-subscription-adobe-desktop-applications/td-p/14804413 when recommending people use the CC Cleaner Tool.

Thanks for the feedback that this type of error can still occur with the current release of Photoshop and Premiere Elements, @Greg_S.! I appreciate it!

As I understand it, there is a newer method to fix activation issues such as this, at least for older Elements versions.  It would be odd that there is no way to fix it for the current version.  I am going to ping @Jeffrey_A_Wright, an Adobe employee, to provide guidance as to what should be done in this circumstance.

Adobe Customer Service (Support) no longer has the ability to reset activations.
The only way to deactivate is if you can open the program on the computer that you want to deactivate.

@Glenn 8675309

That only works for Creative Cloud apps, not perpetual versions.
