Problems downloading software

I have tried to log in and download Acrobat XI pro.  I keep getting a message that I need to connect to the Internet.  In order to get the message, I had to be connnected.  I have logged in previously without a problem.  The issue comes when I want to download software.  What am I doing wrong?
