Problems installing Photoshop cc 2017

Hi all,

I would appreciate your help. I just recently subscribed an downloaded several Adobe programs (LR, Pr, Ae, Br and Photoshop). All worked fine but I realised I downloaded the English versions although I wanted to have the German language versions. So I re-installed everything and except for Ps all programs work.

When I go to the App tab on Creative Cloud I see Ps with the "INSTALL" button next to it. Now when I hit it, it moves up to the top of the list, the button shows download in progress 0% and then suddenly switches to 99% and the "OPEN" button appears. But bevor I can even press it, Ps moves down again in the list an the "INSTALL" button re-appears,,,

Can anybody help me. I really need Ps urgently! What can the problem be?

Thank you so much!

Andy

Correct answer kglad

Thx for the links... worked fine with all the other Apps.

Not with Photoshop. Now the problem might be that I was stupid enough to "drag the app files and folders to the Trash or Recycle Bin, as they will not uninstall properly."

That i did once, before I even wrote down my problem here in the community. And indeed I got an error message, that the un-install process contains errors.

What can I do, to get rid of all faults here? Hope I don't need to setup my whole notebook!

Thx again for feedback!

quit your desktop app by clicking the gear icon>quit

Remove the OPM.db file.

Mac OS: Locate the OPM.db file in the \User\<user name>\Library\Application Support\Adobe\OOBE folder. To access the hidden user Library folder, see https://helpx.adobe.com/x-productkb/global/access-hidden-user-library-files.html

Windows: Locate the OPM.db file in the \Users\<user name>\AppData\Local\Adobe\OOBE folder. To view the hidden AppData folder, see https://helpx.adobe.com/x-productkb/global/show-hidden-files-folders-extensions.html

restart your cc desktop app

retry downloading

Hi glad,

Thanks you for the quick reply. I tried to find that file . without success. I also tried to unhide the Library folder by using the command which I was supposed to type into Termina.

No success.... by the way, I use an Mid 2012 MacBookPro with OS El Capitain 10.11.6

Can you give me further details which steps to follow? Unfortunately i am not such a hardcore user... :-(

Thx
