Problems Updating Creative Cloud

I am unable to update Creative Cloud. I have it set to auto-update. It's unclear to me what version I have from clicking the get info. It was last modified October 20, 2019.

 

I got error message 1001.

 

According to the Adobe website I should uninstall CC and reinstall it.

 

I tried to do this but I got another message that said I could not because desktop applications were relying on it. (I quit Acrobat and retried, to no effect.)

 

There was another option to repair the installer, but that had no effect.

Open Creative Cloud Desktop App.

Go to Help Menu > About Creative Cloud.

See screenshot.

 

The latest version is 5.1.0x released in 2020.  If your screen doesn't look like mine, you have the former desktop app.

 

Please ensure your computer meets or exceeds the minimum system requirements to run the latest Creative Cloud + all other apps you intend to use.  Some requirements have changed and vary by product.
