Problems with CC after installing Catalina

After installing Catalina I can't save save as in photoshop. I can't open video files.

When I tried opening a psd. file from finder and it started to open in Illustrator.

It seems like CC has gone off the rails.

Agree. We assume Adobe and Mac are speaking to one another but apparently they are not. I've been using Mac OS since 1991 and cannot remember a time when it was so uncompatible. I guess we are supposed to "test" the install first. LOL. Who has time for that nonsense? And what a disaster trying to get everything back like it was before the install? The person writing that is obviously not using MacOS and Adobe for a deadline oriented business. Adobe needs to get it together. The file extention thing is absolutley maddening. I can't tell you how many times I've overwritten a file since installing the new OS. We pay Adobe big money each month for life so that we DO NOT HAVE ISSUES LIKE THIS. I'm pretty pissed off.

Apple has changed its policy to make an annual OS upgrade from OS X 10.7.
Software makers cannot modify applications without an official OS release.
This is the same for all software manufacturers, not just Adobe.
This also affects the lack of sufficient development on a beta OS.

In addition, Apple has been renovating the environment for a long time without considering compatibility.
The impact of the change from Mac OS to Mac OS X and from Power PC to Intel.
In macOS 10.15, 32bit application operation and OpenGL were thrown away.
Software manufacturers are tired of these drastic changes.

Imagine how tired of it we are when you changed to a monthly subscription fee instead of buying upgrades when you wanted? I pay you thousands of dollars for your software and you are "tired" of the OS updates? I use your software to make a living so don't forget that when you feel tired.

Wonder why Adobe and Mac are not more in sync with their software release dates? There are thousands of us out here who have upgraded to Catalina and now cannot use Adobe CC properly. The file saving issues are maddening. ai and psd are off the rails. Why didn't Adobe do anything to be compatible with this latest update? Why are you charging monthly fees for software that is not compatible with OS?! Your base is the creative industry and you have really let the ball drop here folks. I am in a deadline oriented world with software that doens't work!

I'd like to know why Apple users are so quick to jump on a major new OS without testing it first.

Testing? That's absurd. I wouldn't even know how to test it first without taking days from my deadlines. Unfortunately we don't have that kind of luxury in the advertising/printing field. Your reply was basically hot air with no solution.

I agree with MelissaLA88.  I never upgrade to a new OS the first month, much less the first week of release for fear of workflow interruptions.   In case you missed the memo.

I'll have to do work arounds in the meantime.

The last thing I'll complain about. How long Adobe and Apple have been married together so to speak, they would work in tandem to make sure everything flows together from the get go!

I usually give myself 90 days before installing a new operating system! Let someone else figure out the bugs first 🙂

I spoke with someone at Apple and they said Adobe has known about the Catalina update since April.

It's frustrating that this issue is occuring with that much notice!

So it is Adobe's fault that Apple changed their OS. Funny how 99% of Adobe apps work on Windows 7 that is 9+ years old and all of them work on Win 10.

At the moment no version is officially compatible with 10.15.
If you are sure to use it, return it to 10.14 or lower.
