Problems with CS2 download from Adobe.
Please bear with me, I am not computer literate. I attempted to download CS2 from discs onto my new computer - everything legitimate, but I couldn't get the serial number validated. I then saw that I had to uninstall it and re-install direct from Adobe, using the new serial number provided.
I did all of that.
I printed off the PDF that showed me what to expect. The actual process bore little resemblance to the written description.
The PDF mentioned I should 'select the following disk images: CS_2.0_UE_Ret_D2' and a list of similarly titled disc images, but what I have sitting in my downloads are files called things like 'Creative Suite CS Disc 2' - seems between the PDF and the downloads they can't even agree how to spell disc!
When it came to the prompt, 'Insert disc two,' I could not find a way to carry Creative Suite CS Disc 2 from downloads to the installation programme. Eventually I had to close the installation part and now I can't seem to recover it and keep trying.
Disc one appears to have installed as I now have ImageReady CS2 and Photoshop CS2 working, but all the other files are sitting in my downloads and I can't install them. So, the present situation is this: when I click on Creative Suite CS Disc 2 InstallShield Wizard starts unpacking it then says, 'oh look it's already unpacked, do you want to overwrite the existing file? I decline and I get no further.
I REALLY need InDesign for a University project, I need to get started as soon as possible too. I am a mature student and I can't seem to get help anywhere with this. Can anyone assist an older lady out of her depth, please?
