problems with install

Hi I've just purchased Adobe Photoshop Elements 10 and when trying to install it tells me that Adobe bridge CS5.1 needs to be updated. I try to update this but then it comes up telling me I need to shut Adobe bridge CS5.1 to do so? Can you advise please
