Problems with switching computers

I had installed Adobe Master Collection CS6 through my University's partnership, so it was downloaded onto my old machine.  That machine's hard drive has failed, but I managed to transfer my data to a new machine before that happened.  I'm currently on a Macbook Pro 2.53 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo OSX 10.9.3.  When I try to start Adobe on my new machine I get the error message "Adobe Photoshop CSC cannot be opened because of a problem."  When I try to uninstall I get another error message saying that "Your uninstallation encountered errors" and gives me an error summary. When I try to open the error summary it just takes me to a creative cloud page rather than telling me what's going on.

What can I do?  I need Photoshop for my business and I can't get it uninstalled to try again.  Plus, I need to figure out how to deactivate my old computer so that I can use my serial code on the new one. Help!

Zmg90 this often occurs when an installation is copied from one computer to the other.  Please run all available uninstallers located in the Applications/Utilities/Adobe Installers folder.  Once this is done then please also run the CC Cleaner tool which can be found at Use the CC Cleaner Tool to solve installation problems | CC, CS3-CS6 - http://helpx.adobe.com/creative-suite/kb/cs5-cleaner-tool-installation-problems.html.

You should then be able to reinstall Master Collection CS6 successfully.  If you need to download a fresh copy of the installation files then you can do so at Download CS6 products.
