product code too short

My product code for Adobe Lightroom is only 22 characters long. Is it a legitimate copy of the education edition that one of my lecturers gave me for my final year project at university. As can be seen from the picture the space to enter the code is 24 spaces long. My code leaves 2 spaces at the end. I dont get it? I installed using the disc from this case then when I tried putting its code in it doesnt work...

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Serial numbers are 24 numbers long... no exceptions.  You are likely looking at the wrong numbers
