PSB to PSD script

Hey I'm wondering if anyone has tried a script or action batch to automate the process of linking a .psb file as a smart object inside a .psd project. It would be somehitng like haveing the .psb open and running the script ot open a new .psd, place the big file as a linked smart object and saving this with a name similar to the original big file in the same folder. Anyone tried something like this?
