I recently bought a new IMac and also got Photoshop Elements 10 for it
Now I did the software update for the IMac and now I have Mac OSX 10.7.2

Today I tried to install PSE10 but there wasn't even any installwindow showing up on my screen

After searching through the forum I still don' have any clue
I installed adobe support advisor but it didn't find any problems

what shall I do now?

Having exactly the same problem. Bought the software and I cannot install it. I thought I'd download the free trial and install my serial number as a workaround. It hangs up at 2042 MB and stops installing. Running a Macbook Pro running OSX 10.6.8. I have never had so much trouble installing software. Please tell all of us what exactly we must do to install the software we purchased. Thanks.!

Hi did you ever get a solution for this?  I have the same issues!

Insert disc #3 not disc #1. Then no problem.

I've the same problem. I use the disc, and Mac OS X 10.7.2 was installed before trying to install Photoshop Elements 10.

Thanks in advance!

Btw. I get following error code

Exit Code: 24

-------------------------------------- Summary --------------------------------------

- 0 fatal error(s), 1 error(s), 0 warning(s)

ERROR: DW046: Following Conflicting processes were running -

block:ShellExtLoader

Hi Christina_F,

Follow these steps and then try installing the application:

1. In the Finder, choose "Go" from the menubar and then select "Utilities". A new Finder window should open.

2. Locate and run Activity Monitor.

This will provide a listing of all running processes on your Mac.

3. Look for ShellExtLoader in the list. Select it and quit the process.

Reinstall the software from the disc.

Do let us know if you continue to face issues installing.

Thanks

The first error message was because of running SugarSync ... after I've quit the application I get another error ...

Exit Code: 24

-------------------------------------- Summary --------------------------------------

- 0 fatal error(s), 18 error(s), 0 warning(s)

ERROR: DW001: Set payload cancelled status

... after trying 10 different ways to solve this problem, I found the correct one - enabling the root user, and installing PS 10 as root. Now - after four hours, and about 20 restarts, it works *hmpf*

Thanks for your quick response

Hi,

How are you installing Photoshop Elements 10. Are you using a disc or downloading it?

Did you uninstall Photoshop Elements 10 before upgrading to Mac OSX 10.7.2?

Thanks

Hi Helmut_sperl,

After inserting the disc into the drive, navigate to the disc via the finder and try to launch the installer from there.

This document provides more information on the contents of the disc and the installation process : Install | Premiere Elements | Photoshop Elements | Windows | Mac OS

Hope this helps.
