PSE 14 will not update.

I installed Photoshop Elements 14 on my Windows 7 machine.  Actually this is a reinstall of PSE 14.  When it was first installed it updated with a patch to 14.1.  On this install (same machine), if I go to Help > Updates nothing happens - no messages, nothing.  If I use application manager or creative cloud there is no reference to an update - or the existence of my copy.  So how do I get any of these to work, or is there a site where I can download the patch and install it myself?

Please follow the below document and check the log files and if you see any error codes in it, please post them here so that we can analyse them and help.

Troubleshoot install using logs in Photoshop Elements

I read the link, but didn't get to look at the logs.  I did download and reinstall Application manager.   Long story short, I now have PSE 14.1 on my machine - and no more an idea what it didn't update before then I have why it updated this time.   But whatever the reason, it seems to be working now.

I appreciate the help I've gotten here.

    Hi Bruce,

Please check and confirm if the system requirements for Photoshop elements are met on this machine see, System requirements | Adobe Photoshop Elements

If yes, then please turn off any Firewall and Internet security software's for the time being and check as they might be interference due to that.

If still you are not able to get the update then you download the cleaner tool and clean the HOSTS file entries using it : http://download.macromedia.com/SupportTools/Cleaner/win/AdobeCreativeCloudCleanerTool.exe

After this relaunch the product and try updating it.

Let us know if this helps.

Bani - Thanks for the reply.  I've checked the system requirements and run the tool and rebooted.  Still no luck updating.   I don't know if it's related, but when I looked at my account it did NOT list PSE 14.  I've talked to customer care and that oversight has been corrected.  I don't know it that has any ramifications with respect to this problem but will try to update later tonight or tomorrow (top give data bases a chance to update)  to see if that makes a difference.
