pse 8 crashes everytime I try to use it. I can't even get 60 seconds from it. How do I fix this?

No matter what feature I try to use, pse8 locks up and is unresponsive in less than 60 seconds.  How do I fix this?  I read a previous answer about changing a file name, but I was unable to understand the brief answer well enough to follow it and make use of it.  This is driving me crazy!  I am running windows 7 with a fast computer.  This did not use to be a problem.  This should not have become a problem.PLEASE HELP

fixitplease what steps have you tried to resolve your problem? You may want to begin with removing and reinstalling your software. Please provide additional details if you need further assistance such as operating system and the error message you receive.
