Purchase the Photography plan

Hi there,

 

If I purchase the photography plan which includes lightroom, photoshop and 20Gb of space, will the apps update everytime there is an update?

    Expanding upon the reply by Dean_Utian :

    Dot versions like 20.2 will overwrite 20.1, but full versions like 21.0 won't overwrite20.2.

      no, you can enable auto-update if you want.

      Others have given good answers. Just adding a detail, as mentioned, you will be able to install updates as they become available or choose not to. You can have multiple versions installed - like say Photoshop 2023 and Photoshop 2024. However, that will add to space requirements on your side. The general advice is to update to take advantage of new functionality and bug fixes and keep the latest version only on your computer.

      While you can control whether or not apps update automatically, if you do not update and are forced to re-install at a later date, Adobe only allows you to install the current and previous major release. So if you were 3 or 4 versions back, this could pose an issue for you. What is your concern about whether the apps will update or not?

      you can control whether updates are installed when available, or at your convenience using the cc desktop settings.  but yes, you are purchasing access to all updates.
