Jeff, Something similar just happened to me this morning.  I checked the Event Viewer in Windows 10 and found the following:

Report Id: 18aa17d0-63bc-4bb5-a002-60368726fc03

Faulting package full name:

I have Adobe Premiere Pro CS5 and Adobe Photoshop Elements installed.

The Adobe website has a newer version of the AAM Update program but the page is fairly vague about whether it applies to my applications.

Ok, Rickardo502.  I am sorry though but I am unsure how you will be able to resolve the current error with the Adobe Application Manager without reinstalling.  The best method would be to remove the current installation of Photoshop and Premiere Elements, followed by removing Creative Suite 5.

Since you are continuing to use Creative Suite 5 you will want to begin by installing Creative Suite 5 first.  You can then install Photoshop and Premiere Elements and the Adobe Application Manager will then be updated for those software titles.

If you attempt to use the Adobe Application Manager downloads from Adobe software and product updates then I am unsure what behavior you will receive.  You may be prompted to enter information for a Creative Cloud membership since you will be receiving an updated version of the Adobe Application Manager that is not specific to your software licenses.

    Thanks Jeff,

I went into the Elements program last night and clicked on "update", the program asked me if I wanted to update my Adobe programs and it actually worked.  So I don't know why I was getting that error.  I have checked the Event Viewer and no more AAM Update messages.

    Thanks for your recommendations

I see that the AAM Errors are posted in another area of the forum

    Rick

Rickardo502, what Adobe products and services do you have installed on the Windows 10 computer?

    Rickardo502, thanks for the update.

What occurred, on the Windows 10 computer, prior to the Adobe Application Manager beginning to crash?  Does the Adobe Application Manager crash when you open Photoshop Elements and Premiere Pro CS5?

Finally, what steps have you implemented to resolve the error?  Have you removed the currently installed software and reinstall using the installation files provided with your purchase, Rickardo502 .
