Re: Activation server shut down for Creative Suite 2, Acrobat 7, and Macromedia products

Jeff:

You say "The activation server being shut down will not affect currently installed and activated Adobe software.  You will only face this difficulty if you need to reactivate the software."

However, my CS2 is now non-functional, and I have been using it for years (ie, is was already installed and activated).

I would like to get back to that point, rather than downloading new software, with the potential of being charged.

Is there a way to return to what I had working?

Susan what specific question did you have regarding reinstalling Creative Suite 2?

I would recommend reviewing the original post of this discussion for details on how to download and install a non-activating copy of Creative Suite 2.

I would like to return to what I had, using the CS 2 that was installed on

    my computer.

Adobe is requiring that I uninstall that, install another CS2.

    Branching to a new discussion.

Susan as was discussed in Activation server shut down for Creative Suite 2, Acrobat 7, and Macromedia productsthe activation servers have been shut down.  This means that you will now need to download and install the non-activating version of Creative Suite 2 available at Error: "Activation Server Unavailable" | CS2, Acrobat 7, Audition 3.

I would recommend reviewing Activation server shut down for Creative Suite 2, Acrobat 7, and Macromedia products carefully as your question has been discussed there previously.

If you have any additional questions regarding the installation process you are welcome to update this discussion.
