What kind of major hardware change would trigger need of activation? Graphic card change? Processor change?

I am unfortunate owner of localized CS2 packet and I'm not happy with EN version, at least for InDesign. I'm pondering some hardware upgrades, but it it kills CS2, I'd rather run the system as is.

    Branching to a new discussion.

Yes Marcing95605585 a new graphics card, new processor, swapping the hard drive, changing the memory configuration.  Any hardware changes can trigger a new activation error.  Especially since Creative Suite 2 is not utilizing the same activation technology utilized with Creative Cloud and Creative Suite 3 and later.

I was hoping for some risk estimation. I remember changing hard drive triggered activation, I was lucky to move system to SSD before "the glitch". Changing memory amount did not. I wonder, has anyone had to activate CS2 after changing graphics card?

You are welcome to try Marcing95605585.  If you are asked to activate then please see Activation server shut down for Creative Suite 2, Acrobat 7, and Macromedia products for details on how to obtain a non-activating version of Creative Suite 2.  Unfortunately there no additional languages available beyond those listed on the download page.
