(on a pc - windows10)

Per your four steps:
1) uninstall everything cc including preferences,
https://helpx.adobe.com/creative-cloud/help/uninstall-remove-app.html

2) then uninstall the cc desktop app, https://helpx.adobe.com/creative-cloud/help/uninstall-creative-cloud-desktop-app.html

and clean your computer of cc files per http://www.adobe.com/support/contact/cscleanertool.html

I am still having trouble. After everything yesterday: I do not have the Icon, or the Creative Cloud Suite anywhere on my computer anymore. So I downloaded the Uninstall tool from Adobe. When I ran it, I got this message:

3) restart your computer (don't skip this)

I restarted just now.


4) reinstall the cc desktop app, https://creative.adobe.com/products/creative-cloud - ie, download the latest version.

I downloaded the latest version. and it is still failing at

I have looked at all the error codes. I have no connection issues. I have disabled both my firewall and my anti-virus software.  It is, however, failing at 42%.

I am at my wits end!

It finally worked. I went through it all again! each step. And it finally worked. Maybe I missed something the first couple of times this morning. third was the charm.

Lindamicciche, you are correct the Error P205 occurs when there is a problem with the downloaded file.  What version of Windows are you attempting to install the Adobe Creative Cloud desktop application on?  Have you tried rebooting the computer per the directions in the screenshot?  Finally, is the computer on a network that you personally manage?
