Re: changed credit card address and got charged $1

Charges of 1$ are standard when someone want’s to check the validity of your card (has the card been invalidated, because someone is using a stolen card?). In reality the $ gets only reserved and will be released directly. I have that with Amazon too.

It’s similar to the car rental company or the hotel that reserves potential charges, in case of. Here in this case it is also for your protection. If your card gets stolen and you do see such charges, the card gets probed for validity. Withdraw it immediately, if you did not initiate the operation, as you did here.

So this is absolutely no reason to get nervous. The customer service of your credit card company can confirm you this.
