New PC in near future .. so asking in advance.

Do you just specify a drive ... like E or does does it need a drive and folder .. like E:\adobe to do the product installs?

In other words, if just E is specified, will the installer find drive E and then create the correct folder(s) on the specified drive?

Branched why? All that does is make it harder for people to find a solution when one actually is finally provided, though I doubt that'll happen since it's been 4 years now and the CC core STILL installs to C: only. This makes absolutely no sense.

UPDATE: Workaround found using command line junctions: This should be done before installing, and make a folder named Adobe on the drive you want the Creative Cloud to actually be installed on. For instance, the drive I have space on is D. So I made a folder D:\Adobe

If you already have CC installed, you'll have to uninstall it before doing these steps.

On Windows, hit the Start button and type "command".

In the search list, RIGHT Click "Command Prompt" and choose "Run as Administrator".

Type mklink /J "C:\Program Files (x86)\Adobe" G:\Adobe

Run the Adobe Creative Cloud installer.

Branching to a new discussion.

Martyson2010 the discussion you responded to is from 2013.  Several updates have been made to the Adobe Creative Cloud desktop application since then.  You can find details regarding the updates at https://helpx.adobe.com/creative-cloud/release-note/cc-release-notes.html.

For information on how to customize the installation location please see Download and install Adobe Creative Cloud apps.

Jeff,

Thanks for the reply and the links.

My new PC will have a small SSD (500GB drive) so I searched the internet to see if I can install Photoshop CC2015 (and other products) to another drive (not C drive) and this forum post showed up .. I did not pay attention to the (OP's) original first post date but noticed the previous post to my reply was ...

** edit:

The link did not answer my question.

The FAQ in the link said .. Preferences, Apps, Install Location, Change .. navigate to the desired location and click Open.

So, does that mean just open a new drive letter ( like E) and Adobe will create the Adobe folder to install into or do I have to set up a folder inside drive E prior to downloading/installing (to receive all Adobe products)?
