Re: Creative Cloud updated all of my CS6 apps, now I'm stuck

Hi, I know it's 2 years later, but this thread seems to be handling my current problem. I have had PS for decades, always paying for my upgrades, including upgrading and paying for PS CS 6 in December 2012, that was BEFORE Adobe changed to the subscribe-only Creative Cloud. I have been subsribing to CC since May 2013, but have carefully made sure not to touch my own PS CS 6 via the cloud, to preserve it as a stand-alone, indepnedently working app. However, at about the same time as the excellent starter subscription offer ended, and I suddenly was on 2,5 times the monthly cost, my work load diminished and I have now been forced to end my subscription. It's just too expensive to pay £45 per month, year after year, for me. My subsricption ran out yesterday and I now find to my horror, that I cannot open my own, fully paid PS CS6 app - I just get the "renew your subscription" box. This can't be true. Adobe cannot "take back" a product they once sold me as a stand-alone app!!

I luckily find this post, but dare not "remove the current installations of CC", as suggested by Jeff above, since I haven't got any physical PS CS6 (as on a CD). I thought the link on my account was a safe storage if I ever wanted/needed to download it again. As Adobe phrased it in it's thank you note from 2012: "You can log back into 'Your Account' in the future to re-download your products." Logging in today, which I believe is "in the future", I am only met by Adobe pushing for me to subscribe. That link to the PS CS6 app seems to no longer exist.

Please, how can I retrieve my PS CS6, paid for? Yes, I can show receipts and Adobe email to prove my purchase.

Nillaw81362798 you can download the retail installation files for Photoshop CS6 at Download Adobe Creative Suite 6 applications .  If you need to locate your registered serial number then I would recommend reviewing Find your Adobe product serial number quickly..

As previously discussed to revert back to the proper installed shared components for Creative Suite 6 you should remove all installed Adobe Creative software and then reinstall Creative Suite 6.  If you have any questions you are welcome to update this discussion.

For anyone else reading this split off discussion, you need to read https://forums.adobe.com/thread/2089127 for some ideas (see reply #1) especially the part about how to stop the Cloud update manager from taking over your CS6 (or earlier) install
