Re: Downloading a trial — Adobe Download Assistant does not respond

Pretty much the same problem as everyone else:

OSX 10.6.8 and FF 9.0.1 (also tried Safari) trying to download trial of PS Elements, no Automatic Graphics Switching in my Energy Saver settings, the Troubleshoot advises to retry the download... done this a few times over, turned off wi-fi connection just about every time to make sure that's not an issue either. No luck.

Like others have said, this "small application that is meant to improve download reliability" is obviously the problem. Download managers remind me AOL and K-Mart. Let's just get a direct download of the file.
