Re: Error P204 when installing the CC Desktop app

Question

I am experiencing similar problems. I want to install both lightroom and photoshop CC, however when lightroom was installed at 28% it was lagging and I was impatient and tried to install photoshop at the same time and then it sort of all crashed. Now I cannot install either one as I get the error P204. I tried to install them with the desktop CC app but it does not work either. I get the desktop CC app installed but then it says it needs an update and stops at 5% with the same p204 error.

I am running it on a HP Pavilion (windows) relatively new laptop with decent editing-specs so that cannot be the problem.

Please assist..

(Branched out as a new discussion)Hi Thijnthijn,As you mentioned you would like to install Photoshop CC & Lightroom CC on your new Windows machine however when you try to install the programs it fails with an error code P204, i would recommend you to turn off any security software or anti-virus program installed on your machine for the time being specially byte-fence if installed and then retry the installation.If it still fails then you may try the troubleshooting shared in following thread: Re: Problems with installing Photoshop, error P204 Let us know if this helps.
