Re: Hi, I want to close my account and delete my membership

Adobe is a dishonest company. I have been to online chat several times to close my account and they are always having technical difficulties or no one even turns up to chat. I cannot understand how a big concern like Adobe can operate in such a contemptuous way.

This is a public forum, not Adobe support... YOU must cancel

To Cancel https://helpx.adobe.com/manage-account/using/cancel-subscription.html
https://helpx.adobe.com/creative-cloud/kb/cancel-duplicate-subscription.html
-or have Adobe support cancel your subscription using the "autoOpen" Chat link below
-Do be aware that cancelling early means paying 1/2 of the remaining subscription time as a fee
-This is cancelling AFTER the trial converts to paid and BEFORE the end of the subscription
-Not using the program(s) does not mean you do not have to pay

Nobody here in a public forum can see your account information
What do you see for your account at https://account.adobe.com/
This space is provided by Adobe, but this is not Adobe support
This is a public forum, you need the link to Adobe support, not other users
Help Center https://helpx.adobe.com/support.html is a good place to start
Be sure to remain signed in with your Adobe ID before accessing the link below
Do be aware that wait times are sometimes long before an agent responds
.
You MUST make sure that your browser does NOT block ads, scripts, or pop-ups
You MUST also allow 'cookies' in your web browser for the link to work
This will NOT work if you are using a VPN
.
This link will go directly to the chat option
https://helpx.adobe.com/contact.html?rghtup=autoOpen
Type "Agent" in the chat box to bypass the chatbot and be connected to a person
-Meaning type in the word Agent in the lower right, without the quote " " marks
or
X (aka Twitter) tweet @AdobeCare
.
Adobe does NOT do support by email, so beware of answering anyone who sends you a private message

I am very confused. Why is there no option to delete my account? There should be a very clear option to delete account in account settings.

I too would like to delete my account entirely due to hacking issues, but I can't find any option anywhere on the website to get to email, phone, or chat help; all the links just take me in circles.  I definitely won't recommend adobe to anyone in the future-- not because of product problems but because of this very very poor customer service.

I think this must be illegal on some level. What happened to data protection, huh?

Hey guys. Deleting my account is something I attempted a year ago when my Adobe ID student account got hacked. You would expect a company like adobe to be prepared to protect your data and support you in such a case. Instead they basically accused ME of trying to get access to someone else's account because whoever is using it right now changed the data in the account to their own name and credit card (thankfully). The ID is still connected to my e-mail address though. How I know? Because every year (like right now) I still get an e-mail that my payment method is about to expire. But I don't have access to the damned account anymore!

So I asked whether they could assure me that since someone overwrote my personal data, my data was irrevocably deleted from their servers and I would never be approached for any abuse of the account or services – no they can't. And that's all the help I got in a long chat with someone who really didn't get the problem here, namely that a former legitimate and paying customer (me!) got screwed over.

So, people, if your adobe ID account gets hacked, you're screwed. Adobe ID security sucks. YOUR DATA IS NOT SAFE WITH ADOBE.

My only consolation is that now adobe gets screwed over by whoever is using my account. Adobe is providing one of the last student accounts with two desktop places (from 2013) for a fraud who probably isn't a student in the first place. Adobe is just as incompetent with regard to their own interests as they are irresponsible with the data of their customers. Way to go!

No it doesn't help: as far as I know I don't have an Adobe Creative Cloud Plan; I want to delete my ID from ADOBE full stop.

Well, that's what membership is.

So I'm a bit confused by what you're asking.

See if any of these links help you.
