Right, ok. Yeah I don't let web pages install addons in my browser. I was not prompted to install an addon either. I definitely wouldn't allow a browser to do so automatically.

Perhaps the error message could indicate that this is a security issue and not an issue with the browser or platform? Seems like I would have been able to figure this out had the error message provided accurate information on why I couldn't install the app. Or maybe just link to the direct download in the first place?

Anyways. Thanks. I will use the direct download from now on.

Royl37928211 you will also want to utilize the directions listed at Download and install Creative Cloud apps  to install any of the applications included with your membership.  With the current security settings the ability to begin the installation process at Adobe Creative Cloud desktop apps | Adobe Creative Cloud will not be functional.

Finally if you ever need to contact support directly I would recommend bookmarking Contact Customer Care .  Without the ability to sign into http://www.adobe.com/ you will face difficulty reaching a member of our support team.

As an alternative you can use a smart phone or tablet to contact us directly at Contact Customer Care .

Branching to a new discussion.

Royl37928211 the discussion you responded to was last updated in 2013.  What specific errors are you experiencing when you attempt to download and install Photoshop CC?  For details on enhancements which have been implemented please see Release notes for the Adobe Creative Cloud desktop app.

I cannot download the Creative Cloud application using Firefox or Chrome. I sign in. Then from Adobe.com I go to Desktop Downloads (Adobe Creative Cloud desktop apps | Adobe Creative Cloud ). Then I click on "Download" for Creative Cloud (https://creative.adobe.com/products/download/creative-cloud?promoid=KSPDX ). I fill out the skill level form and am then presented with a screen telling me to that I have to use a desktop to download the software. I am using a desktop. This has been an issue for 4 years. It is extremely frustrating when setting up new computers and I have to reinstall Creative Cloud. I have cleared my cache. I have tried using incognito browsing. We pay for this service and I would expect that Adobe would support two of the most popular modern web browsers. It is frustrating.

I have seen other threads where the response is "use another browser". That is not a solution.

I am using Firefox 51 and Mac OS X 10.11.6.

Royl37928211 if the download is failing in both FireFox and Chrome then please review the settings of your security software.  It is either not allowing cookies to be accepted and/or not allowing the required AAM Detect plug-in to be installed.

If you continue to experience difficulty installing then please download the Creative Cloud desktop app directly from Download Creative Cloud desktop app .
