Re-installation of Creative Suite 6 Issue

Background:

I installed my CS6 license on my Dell Precisions 7710 laptop in 2019 (bought in 2014 download only), but recently I was having boot issues, so purchased a new HP laptop for I had to use my own laptop for a consulting contract, and didn't have any time to get my Dell laptop fixed. However, before I could transfer all my files off my Dell laptop, it's hard drive (SSD) currupted so I lost all my files and wasn't able to deactivate and/or uninstall my Adobe Creative Suite 6 software before complete hard drive (SSD) failure. I had an IT support person in Renfrew (I live nearby in White Lake) install a new SSD and install Windows 11.

Issue:

I cannot activate my Adboe Creative Suite 6 due to the license restriction of being on only 1 computer so I MUST uninstall off one laptop in order to install and activate license on another laptop, however, I cannot do that, the SSD is currupt so no longer good for anything but the garbage heap. FYI, my other half of license I left with my previous employer since he paid for half of CS6.

I have contacted Adboe Support, but they directed me here for they don't support legacy licenses, but only online monthly subscriptions.

I hope somene here can help me. My last resort would be to install Creative Suite 3 for I still have that registered license (2), but not sure if that has been deactivate by Adobe, it was purchased in 2008, and my other license for Studio purchased in 2005.

You think that being a cusotmer of 3 licensed product could get you some support, but no I only get support if I purchase online monthly subcription, which I did have for 2 years for my youngest daughter during her college years, that cost me more than all my licenses combined.

Proof of Renfrew Support receipts for Dell laptop reapirs are attached below.

Thank you,

"FYI, my other half of license I left with my previous employer since he paid for half of CS6."

This is a violation of the license terms, FWIW.

You got your money's worth from a 14-year-old discontinued product.  It's time to replace CS6 with apps that are compatible with Windows 11.

Oh well, I just have 2 months until my retirement. Guess I'll just install CS3 (from DVD disc written over to a floppy drive). I wrote all my DVD/CD disk over to floppies, so use Microsoft Office 7 on my old laptop with Windows 8 (updating disabled) and on my new laptop with Windows 11, I uninstalled all Office 365 applications and disable updates (notifications only) so that I control my laptop not Microsoft.

Thanks for all the advice, very much appreciated!

CS3 is DEAD!

Activation is impossible. The servers to activate pre-CS5 products no longer exist.

At most, you'll get a few days of trial use and then it will stop functioning.

Have a back-up plan in place.

Good luck.

CS3 can no longer be activated.  The activation servers have been shut down.

if it's impossible to deactivate using a computer with a current activation, it's impossible to recover an activation slot.  there's no longer a workaround.
